Alyce Peeler Jackson of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Nov. 27, 2019 after a five-year battle with cancer. She was 69.

Alyce was born March 10, 1950, in the small Florida town of Mcintosh to the late Elizabeth and James Peeler.  She attended the University of Florida, before leaving to get married and start a family. As a young mother, Alyce moved around the United States with her husband and children and she always had a friend in every city.  Alyce went back to school when her two girls became school-age, receiving her bachelor's degree in computer science from California State University, Fullerton.  She worked in technology, blazing her own trail as a mother and career woman.  Alyce enjoyed her time traveling the world with her family, cooking and crafting with her grandchildren, laughing at her dogs and celebrating life with ladies from the Red Hat Society.

Alyce is preceded in death by her parents and husband Wilfred Jackson, whom she married in 2001.

Alyce is survived by daughters Kristin Ann Stockdale and Karmon Stockdale Clay; stepdaughter Sarah Jane Buckner; twin sister Agnes Elizabeth Randall and brother William Lambert Jernigan; grandchildren Olivia Grace Dore, Maddison Hope Lathem, Samuel Luke Buckner, Oliver Nathaniel Buckner, Christopher Logan Jackson, Kameron Andrew Clay, and Jakob Stockdale Clay.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, she believed a cure was within reach and did everything she could for cancer research.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in her memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
