Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Huckaba, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us on May 12, 2024, at the age of 78.

Ann was a remarkable woman known for her strength, kindness, generosity, and distinguished professional career. Born on April 12th, 1946, in Morgantown, West Virginia, she dedicated her life to her family and her work, touching countless lives with her compassion and unwavering support.

A trailblazer in her field, Ann made significant contributions as a Director of Member and Marketing Communications at Kaiser Permanente, where she worked for over 35 years. Her commitment to excellence and her innovative spirit earned her respect and admiration from colleagues and peers alike. She balanced her demanding career with grace and determination, never wavering in her dedication to both her profession and her loved ones.

In addition to being a master metal clay jewelry designer, Ann loved to spend her time researching her genealogy. Her nurturing spirit and selfless nature were evident in everything she did, whether it was through her involvement in The Delta Gamma Sorority, and The Daughters of the American Revolution, or the countless acts of kindness she bestowed upon those around her. She served as a mentor to many, always willing to share her wisdom and experience to help others succeed.

Her home was a sanctuary of love, filled with warmth and the irresistible aroma of her cooking. She had an incredible talent for making everyone feel welcome and cherished. Family gatherings were her greatest joy, where her laughter and love radiated, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend, Tony Huckaba whose memory she cherished deeply. Together, they built a life filled with love, joy, and shared dreams. Ann is survived by her brother Frank (Yvonne) Dunbar, her children Kris (Steve) Geraths, Toni ( Rob Garland) Huckaba, Sally Gelini and Keith (Erin) Gelini; and her grandchildren Michael, Delaney, Sophia, and Nola. Each of them will continue to honor her legacy by living with the same kindness, strength, and professional integrity she exemplified every day.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the enduring impact she had on all who knew her. Her spirit will live on in the values she instilled and the love she shared so generously. A celebration of Ann's life will be held on June 29th at Off the Rails Restaurant at Holbrook Woodstock.

Ann Huckaba, you were a guiding light in our lives, and you will be deeply missed. Rest in peace.
