Barbara Jean Hatfield, 77, born in Cookville, TN, passed away on October 31, 2023. Barbara resided in Canton, GA.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Williams, father, John Randolph, Step-father, Louie Williams, and four siblings, Loretta June Randolph, Charles Randolph, Johnny Randolph, and Wanda Settles.
Barb is survived by her two children, Danielle and Chris, her son-in-law, Josh, her three grandchildren, Jackson, Lilly, and Jayden, and her siblings, Anna Morgan, Susie Dennison, Shirley Wilson, David Randolph, and Robbie Manning.
She was a nurse for over thirty years, and the majority of her career was spent as a Community Health Coordinator at the VA Hospital in Columbia, MO. Barbara had both undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing, and entered the Navy Reserves, retiring after twenty years as a Lieutenant Commander. She served her country in the Desert Storm conflict, and had a heart for other veterans her entire adult life.
Barbara had a beautiful singing voice, and served in choirs in the different churches she was a part of, most recently First Baptist Church of Woodstock, where she made many friends in the senior adult ministry. She also enjoyed taking her children and grandchildren to nursing homes to sing with the residents.
While her passing seems too soon, we are grateful for the time we all had with her, and we know she is healed and whole in the presence of her Savior.
