Mary "Beth" Frye, age 46, of Holly Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

Beth was born on March 7, 1972 in Dallas, GA. She grew up in Temple, GA. Her law enforcement career began as a dispatcher with the city of Dallas. She would later spend 22 years with the Chamblee Police Department, including 5 with the K9 Division. She received several accolades, including Officer of The Year in 2017 and was recognized by the media for delivering and saving babies while on duty. Beth was a very outspoken person that had no problem showing "tough love" and was always the life of the party.

Beth loved her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was very loyal and had a magnetic personality. She was also active in the Canton Moose Lodge and "Lady Moose" group. Her favorite time of the year was the holidays when she could cook for her family, she was a wonderful cook, and thoroughly enjoyed her family being together.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather; Larry Prater

Survivors include her loving husband of 22 years; Sam, sons; John, Reilly, and Dakota, daughter; Alli, mother; Connie Prater, brother; Steve Searcy, grandmother; Bessie Cole Burt, nephew; Eli Searcy. Several other extended family members, friends, and colleagues also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11AM at Lakeside Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 4:00 to 9:00 and again on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4:00 to 9:00 at Lakeside Funeral Home.
