Bill W. Vines, age 83, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away the morning of January 31, 2022.  He was born in Liberal, Kansas, on December 26, 1938. He was the son of the late Richard Vines and Madeleine Omey Vines Wilson.  He was raised in Roswell, New Mexico, and Quincy, Florida, and lived in Marietta, Georgia, for most of his adult life.  He served in the U.S. Air Force, and graduated from Florida State University in 1965.  He was one of the three owners of Reliable Building Maintenance and retired shortly after selling his company.

Bill was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia.  He was a devoted husband, loving father, and patient and fun-loving grandfather. It was said that he walked to the beat of his own drum.  He was loved by all.  His wisdom and advice were always appreciated.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Donna May Vines, Marietta, GA; Son, Michael Vines (Kristin), Hixson, TN; Daughter, Theresa Vines, Woodstock, GA; Grandchildren, Kailey Barwick, Breckenridge, CO, and Colleen Barwick, Acworth, GA; Sister Peggy Godwin, Tallahassee, FL; Brother, Grady Wilson (Doris), Quincy, FL;  Sisters-in-Law, Nancy Vines, Cumming, GA, Joyce Noack, Marietta, GA, Betty Jo Archer, Albany, GA. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bob Vines, of Cumming, GA, and his stepfather, Selwyn Wilson, of Quincy, FL.

A memorial will be held at Lakeside Funeral Home in Woodstock, GA, on Saturday, February 19.  Visitation will be from 2:00PM-3:00PM, and a service from 3:00PM-4:00PM.
