Obituary

Billy Joe Flesher, age 92, of Roswell, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 28, 2026. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on October 15, 1933, in Coweta, Oklahoma, he was the son of Louie and Lena Flesher. Joe Flesher graduated from Coweta High School and Oklahoma State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in business finance. While attending OSU, he signed up to serve his country in the Army and was stationed in Germany as a stenographer. Joe retired from Electrolux as an area vice president of finance. Earlier in his career, he set up and programmed enormous computers that would require an entire floor of a building.

Joe was a longtime attender of Christ Worship Center, where he and his wife, Ella Pearl Howard, were loved and cherished by friends who became like family. Joe and Ella were married for 62 years and had two children, Karen Flesher Lewis and David Joe Flesher. His family was important to him. When his triplet grandsons arrived, Joe opted for early retirement to help raise them.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Gary Lewis of Roswell, Georgia; his daughter-in-law and her husband Sherri and Jeff Miller, and grandsons Patrick and Ryan Flesher of Marietta, Georgia; his sister, Carol Fowler of Coweta, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law, Linda Flesher of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many dear friends and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella; his parents, Louie and Lena; his brother, Luke Flesher; his son, David Joe Flesher; and his grandson, Tyler Flesher.

In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Joe enjoyed cheering on the Atlanta-based home teams: the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Atlanta Falcons, through all their seasons—the good, the bad, and the ugly.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at Christ Worship Center, located at 3393 Canton Road. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park cemetery, 1861 Dallas Highway SW in Marietta, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to offer sympathy with a contribution can donate to the ministry of Christ Worship Center at www.christworshipcenter.net ( http://www.christworshipcenter.net/ ).
