Bobby "Butch" McCLure, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 9, 2026. He was born on September 12, 1947, to the late Arvil and Emily McClure.

Bobby was a loving husband, father, brother, papa, and a friend to many. He was a simple, hardworking man, who loved his family, trout fishing, and working in his garden. To know him, you know he always loved to "tinker" on anything.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janice McClure; daughter, Angie (John) Young; son, Roger (April) McClure; daughter, Tammy (Darrell) Chambers; sister, Barbara Watkins; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild along with several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Bobby will be held at Lakeside Funeral Home on Sunday, October 11 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and again on Monday October 12 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm on October 12, followed by interment at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Jasper, Georgia.
