Bonnie Lee Barfield Mullin passed away suddenly on December 27, 2025, in Woodstock, Georgia.
Bonnie was born on February 5, 1941, in San Diego, California, to Ernest Lee Barfield and Cynthia Eugenia Sanders Barfield. As the daughter of a U.S. Naval officer, she spent her earliest years in Hawaii and was present during the attack on Pearl Harbor. The family later returned to San Diego, where Bonnie was raised. There, she met and married her junior high school sweetheart, Donald Mullin.
Bonnie and Don were married on April 9, 1960, and together they raised three children in Pleasanton, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Bonnie was her children's biggest cheerleader, enthusiastically supporting their many sports and activities. In the 1980s, Bonnie and Don relocated to Southern California before settling in Woodstock, Georgia, in 1999. They shared 51 years of marriage before Don's passing in 2011.
Bonnie found great joy in traveling with family and friends, as well as on excursions with the Woodstock Senior Center and the Silver Roamers. She had a passion for sewing, gardening, country music, and spending time playing cards and games with friends and neighbors. Above all else, her greatest joy was her family. A devoted mother and homemaker, Bonnie dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by her loving family and shared a close and cherished bond with her siblings and their families.
Bonnie was an active and beloved member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She and Don served as Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron of the Pleasanton Chapter, and Bonnie later served as Worthy Matron of the Kennesaw Chapter. In 2025, she completed a year-long term as a Grand Officer for the State of Georgia and was honored with her 50-year Eastern Star membership pin.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mullin, and her brother, James Barfield. She is survived by her loving children: son Scott Mullin (Jackie), daughters Kelly Ferris (Steve) and Kristi Peltz (Jeff); her adoring grandchildren Christopher Mullin, Jessica Mullin, Jamie Engel (Albert Jr.), Brooke Ferris, Patrick Ferris, and Nicole Ferris; and her great-grandchildren Landon Mullin-Wilson and Morgan Harp.
She is also survived by her siblings: sister Patty Rantz; brothers Michael Barfield (Ariel) and Ernest Barfield; sister-in-law Ginnie Barfield; along with many beloved nieces and nephews and her treasured grand-pets.
Bonnie will be remembered for her gentle kindness, her thoughtful heart, and the quiet joy she carried into every room. The warmth of her smile and the love she shared will continue to live on in the lives she touched, forever reminding us to choose kindness and joy.
