Bonnie James, age 82, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2020, with family and friends by her side.

She was from Murphy, North Carolina in the Ogreeta Community.  She graduated from Murphy High School in 1955. She was a bookkeeper for Hoffman & Company, a mapping & survey firm.  She loved Jesus, family, friends, and church.  She and her husband Noah were married 65 years and enjoyed life and each other's company.  They were both grateful to God for the life God had given them.

She was preceded in death by her daughter; Sarah James, Brother; Sheridan Hall, and parents; James "Jim" and Ada Hall.

Survivors include a daughter; Bonita Chesney of Cartersville, Georgia, son and daughter in law; Thomas and Laurie James of Woodstock, Georgia, grandchildren; Audrey & James Perdue, AJ, Breanna, and Noah Chesney, Rebecca, Nathan, and SamGrayson James. great-grandchildren; Hunter Perdue and Emmet Chesney.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Lakeside Funeral Home.

Memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm, following visitation, with Bobby Ritch officiating.

Interment to follow at Hiawassee Baptist Church in Murphy, N.C.
