Bruce Carlson, age 80, of Roswell, GA, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019.

Bruce was born in Hong Kong on April 14, 1939 to missionaries Donald and Marguerite Carlson.  Bruce grew up as a missionary kid and after graduating from Wheaton College in Illinois, and serving as an officer in the US Army, Bruce, along with wife Donna, followed in his parents footsteps in the field of Christian Ministry.  He spent his life as a missionary and counselor all over the world, and up until his final days he was still traveling and spreading the message of God's grace.

Bruce loved people – he could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere.  And through his faith and commitment to God, Bruce touched the lives of so many all over the world.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Don and Marguerite, and wife Donna.  He is survived by his two children, Dawn and Nathan, grandchildren Scott, Mikaila, Grace, Anna, and Claire, great-grandchild Chloe, and brothers Brent and Blair.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 30 , 2019 at Lakeside Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Resurrection Anglican Church, 231 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock, GA. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Rockford, IL.
