Mr. Byron Jerry Peterson, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on January 21, 2022, at the age of 92. Mr. Peterson was born in 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Gage Park High School. During the Korean War, he served as a corporal in the United States Army.

He married his wife Jacqueline E. (Becvar) Peterson in 1954. Byron spent an impressive 54 years with the United States Postal Service.

Byron was a devout Catholic husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline E. Peterson, and his brothers, Roy Peterson and David Peterson. Mr. Peterson is survived by his son, Tom (Tricia) Peterson, Daughter, Cindy (Mike) Palmer, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Byron Peterson was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. In lieu of flowers, please have a Mass said for the repose of his soul.
