MARQUARDT – Carl W. of Woodstock Georgia entered into rest on November 12, 2019, beloved husband of Carol (nee Wolf); devoted father of Larry (Karen) Marquardt, Kristine (Roy) Anderson, Laura (Chip) Townsend; cherished grandfather of Amelia (Michael) Fitzsimmons, Carla (Michael) Nelson, and Stephen (Lauren) Townsend; great-grandfather to Avery Grace Nelson and Charlotte Anne Townsend; loving son of the late Carl and Clara Marquardt; dear brother of the late Harold (Hazel) Marquardt, George (Phyllis) Marquardt, and Richard (Jenny ) Marquardt; and also survived by many dear cousins, nieces and nephews. Carl worked until retirement at Six Flags over Georgia, where he was a key contributor in restoring the park's historically-registered Riverview Carousel.  Carl's greatest joy was his family, and his best times were when they were all together, talking and laughing.  Carl loved his life and always appreciated everything he had.
