Carolyn Cosby of Ball Ground, GA passed away on April 17, 2021.

Carolyn was born in Portland, ME. At the age of 15, she and her family moved to Las Vegas, NV where she met her surviving husband David Cosby who was stationed at Nellis AFB. They were married on August 15, 1968. Carolyn has two surviving children, Mark Cosby, Anchorage, AK and Tracy Torgerson, Ball Ground, GA. Carolyn is also survived by their nine grandchildren.

She was an engaging person to be around and the life of every party she attended. Carolyn loved to laugh, have tea parties, wear colorful hats, and started many family traditions; one of our favorites is going around the table and saying something nice about the person next to you! The grandkids always wanted to sit next to "Grammie" and say that she was a "good cooker!"

She was selfless in life, giving of her time freely to so many causes, mainly the protection of our civil liberties. She was active in politics for most of her adult life, developing the thinking and strategy behind many campaigns against the erosion of our rule of law. Carolyn Cosby was a force to be reckoned with, a polarizing figure, never to be ignored. She was a well-known figure in local and state politics. We all loved her very much, and she will be missed.
