Cathy Batchelor Hawkins' Obituary
Catharine Batchelor Hawkins, a 32-year survivor of breast cancer, went home to Jesus on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the age of 70.
Cathy was born to Thomas & Catharine Batchelor on September 23, 1948 in McRae, Georgia.
Cathy married her high school sweetheart, Fred C. Hawkins in 1969. She had two children. Her son Frederick Hawkins (married to Leslie Hawkins) of Birmingham, Alabama and her daughter Chrissy Cosper (married to Todd Cosper) of Maysville, GA. She had 4 grandchildren: Alex T. Hawkins, Lydia C. Cosper, Jonah T. Cosper and Miriam G. Cosper.
In addition to being a dedicated, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Cathy also loved her church where she faithfully served. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God and she shared His love and forgiveness with everyone she met.
She was a graduate of Georgia Southern University and Auburn University. She spent her entire career working in early childhood education with the majority of those years in Cobb County, GA schools.
Cathy joins her parents, Thomas and Catharine Batchelor in Heaven. She is survived by her brother Tommy Batchelor and sisters Suzy Towner and Tracy Adams, as well as, 6 nephews and 2 nieces.

- The family will receive friends and guests
from 11:00a.m. – 1:45p.m.
- The service, also at Lakeside Funeral Home, will begin
at 2:00p.m.
- Interment will immediately follow the service at Enon Cemetery, Woodstock, GA.
In lieu of flowers, it was her wish for donations to be made to her church, First Baptist Church of Woodstock, GA
