Charles Evans Byrd, age 94, passed away peacefully at his residence in Woodstock, GA on September 8, 2020. Charles was born August 13, 1926 in Franklin, NC to parents Zeke and Vina Greene Byrd. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Robert Byrd, his brother Richard Byrd, and sister-in-law Vesta Byrd. Surviving is his loving wife of over 60 years, Eugenia Howard Byrd, three children, Louise Byrd, Charles Evans Byrd Jr., and William Howard (Bill) Byrd (wife Bobbie). Two grandchildren, Ian Liam Greenleaf and Eric Charles Byrd, his sister Margaret Dendy, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Byrd enlisted in the US Navy in October, 1944 and served his country until the end of WWII. He had a love of gardening, horses, and was an exceptional real estate agent earning the achievement of being a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club. Services are private.
