Charles Henry Morris, II, 61, of Woodstock, GA, beloved husband and father, passed away on April 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 11, 1964, in Salem, MA, to the late Charles and Lillian Morris. He attended Pine Forest High School in Fayetteville, NC and later attended Western Carolina University, studying physics and computer science. He built a successful career as an IT executive with Xerox, designing and architecting data centers throughout the world.
Charles had a genuine gift for connecting with people — he gave his time and advice freely and was the kind of person that friends and family alike turned to without hesitation. He passed his love of learning on to those around him, and was endlessly fascinated by the world, particularly physics. Photography was a deep passion, capturing the people and places closest to him. He is remembered as resilient, curious, and genuinely present in the lives of everyone he loved.
Charles is survived by his wife, Oksana Samoylenko; his son, Dmitri Morris; his brother, Kenneth Morris; and his sister, Cynthia Lumb.
A viewing will be held on April 14, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Lakeside Funeral Home.
A private committal service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation in memory of Charles.
