Mr. Charles Fred Simmons of Woodstock died Friday evening, August 20, 2021, at his residence with family by his side. Charles was born March 6, 1935, in Fort Payne, AL to the late Ruth Bachelor and Herman Simmons. He was a Maintenance Supervisor at Eagle Watch Golf Course for many years. Those that knew Charles, knew him as a wonderful Husband, Father, and Grandfather who loved his family and ran a tight ship. He had a passion for travel all across the country and occasionally a casino!

He is preceded In death by his wife Patricia Marlene Simmons. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law; Sheila Marie Albright of Woodstock, Sharlene and Michael Hughes of Woodstock, Darlene and Wayne Hawkins of Ellijay, sons; Chuck and Valerie Simmons of Chatsworth, Bryan Simmons of Woodstock, grandchildren; Serena Albright of Woodstock, Michael Sparks of Canton, Amber Hawkins-Murphy and her husband Kim Murphy of Jasper, Jessica Hawkins of Jasper, Bianca Hawkins of Ellijay, Elaina and her husband Jeremy Thompson of Rome, and Joely Simmons of Castle Rock, Colorado, eleven great-grandchildren, sister; Peggy Williamson of Rossville, numerous other loving relatives, and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for 12:00 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at New Harrison Memorial Cemetary in Harrison, TN.
