Obituary

Cynthia Ann Baum

"Cynde, Honey, Mom, Grammy"

57-years-old peacefully passed away on Friday October 5th, 2018 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. After more than 10 years of battling with heart complications she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in January, 2018. In the last 9 months the complications from this would end up with her passing. Though the last few months were most difficult, she was determined (even stubborn at times) to overcome it. Her genuine love of family, friends and co-workers along with her passion for making others happy gave her the will to live. She ended the most inspirational and courageous show of strength and perseverance after a 34 day battle in the ICU.

Born on December 10, 1960 in Antioch, California. She spent a large portion of her life growing up in Memphis, Tennessee before moving to Marietta, Georgia in 1991 for her 38 year career with Intercontinental Hotels Group.

Cynde is survived by her mother Carolyn, her father Gordon, her husband Russell, her son Brandon, her daughter-in-law Casey, her two grandsons, Owen and Camden, her sister Cheryl and her brother Craig.

Cynde was married to the love of her life Russell in January of 1981. She spent the last 37 years enjoying the type of relationship and marriage we should all aspire to have. She had her only child, Brandon 5 years later in February of 1986 and welcomed her Grandson Owen in October, 2016 and her Grandson Camden in February of 2018.

For those who knew Cynde well it was easy to see what she lived for, her Family and her Friends. She devoted her entire life to making others happy and her infectious smile and laugh were one of a kind. She loved to travel, especially to the beach at Gulf Shores. She enjoyed music and spent plenty of time over the years as a proud wife marveling over Russell's musical talents. She took great pleasure in visiting her mother, father and siblings in Pickwick, Tennessee. She enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, and watching Lifetime movies. Most recently the light of her life were her two beautiful grandchildren.

Cynde was the most selfless person you could ever encounter and had a true zest for life. We will always remember her for all of the amazing memories we were able to share with her and for all of the love she has inspired. Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel and she is now watching over us with the Grace of God.
