David Schrager, 67, of Marietta, GA, passed away the night of August 16 ^th , 2019. Dave was born in the city of Philadelphia to Philip and Marion Schrager in 1952. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1969. He worked as a machinist upon graduation. He then traveled the country in his VW bus, ending his adventure in Marietta, GA. He began working as a butcher and continued this career for nearly 30 years. In that time, he raised two children, Josh and Blake, who were his pride and joy. He also took pride in the multiple rental homes he acquired over the years. Dave had a passion for gardening and was known for his many delicious recipes. He loved taking his boys on yearly vacations to the beach. He was a dedicated father that worked hard to provide for his family. Dave is preceded in death by his father, Philip, and mother, Marion. He is survived by his two children, Josh and Blake (Sara) Schrager, sister, Anita Corrado, granddaughter, Savannah, and several cousins.  A gathering of family and friends will be held at Lakeside Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 11am-2pm.
