Deborah Ann Davis passed away at home peacefully on Saturday morning, September 5th, 2026. She was 70 years old and resided in Woodstock, Georgia. Deborah was born on November 7th, 1955, in Marietta to her parents, R.T. and Dorothy Turner (both deceased).
She graduated from Pebblebrook High School in 1973, and is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Harold Davis, whom she married in April of 1976. Deborah is also survived by her two daughters, Victoria "Vicky" Lynn Smith and Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Mathis, born in 1977 and 1978, respectively. Vicky is married to Matthew Kenneth Smith and lives in Roswell with their son, Cooper (age 15). Cindy is married to Norman "Clay" Mathis, Jr. and resides in Graham, Alabama. Cindy and Clay have two children, Destiny (26) and Justin (23), and three grandchildren through Destiny (Aria (7), Salem (4), and Sienna (5 months)).
Deborah is survived by her three loving siblings as well: Lana Taylor, Ronnie Turner, and Janice Burdett. They are a close-knit family and loved each other well through the years.
Deborah's career began in office administration at General Electric. She later joined Teasley Elementary School in Smyrna as a nutrition worker before finding her true calling there in the classroom as a Kindergarten paraprofessional. She dedicated the remainder of her career to this beloved role, eventually retiring from Bryant Elementary School in Mableton.
Deborah loved anything that allowed her to spend time with young children. She found many creative ways to teach children about the love of Jesus and the ABCs! When she wasn't busy caring for her students' needs during the week, she was offering her time and gifts to her daughters, nieces, nephew, and many others.
The family is hosting a private Celebration of Life service on Monday, September 14th, 2026 in Roswell, GA.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Drake House. Their mission is akin to Deborah's passion for supporting children and their mothers in need. https://thedrakehouse.org/
