Debra (Debbie) Kay Willhardt of Cape Canaveral, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023 after a brief but fierce battle with lung cancer.

Debbie was born on August 29, 1958 in Kingsland, TX to Howard Boddy and Lou Ann Bryan (Price). Growing up Debbie enjoyed cheerleading and spending time with her sisters. She eventually moved to Atlanta, GA. Later she would move to Cape Canaveral, FL where she took pride in her work with Space Florida and made lifelong friends with her beach family, also known as the Green Umbrella Gang.

Debbie loved the beach, Mexican food, and live music. She could always be counted on to join you on the dance floor and welcomed her family when they visited her in Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her son, daughter, and grandchildren, and made every effort to join them for holidays, birthdays, and special events.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard Boddy and Lou Ann Price, and her husband, Douglas Willhardt.

She is survived by her children: Kelleen Jackson of Dothan, AL and Brett (Kristin) Winzeler of Woodstock, GA, her sisters Cindy (Robert) Monk, Patty Gaona, and Tracy (Jennifer) Hightower, and her four grandchildren: Caiden, Emma, Avery, and Aubrey.

A celebration of life will be held in Cape Canaveral, FL later this year (2023). More information to follow.
