Dennis "Wayne" Davis, surrounded by so much love, passed peacefully on January 13th, 2025, at the age of 70 in Woodstock, Georgia. He was embraced by prayer while he took his last breath.   He gave all of his family faithful assurance of his arrival in the arms of his Heavenly Father.

Wayne was born on February 28th, 1954 to Ralph and Virginia Davis in Atlanta, Georgia.  In 1971 he met the love of his life, Janice Mae Galloway in Smyrna, Georgia.  He was led to his personal relationship with Jesus Christ through Janice and his family.   Wayne and Janice were married on September 22nd, 1972. They went on to have two daughters, Christina Jan and Heather Lynn.

Wayne was a self-taught carpenter and machinist.  He worked for Nabisco for 36 years as a dedicated machinist on the Chips Ahoy line.  Wayne and Janice retired together in Centre, Alabama to a beautiful home they renovated together on Weiss Lake.  He was a very simple man who always put his family and faith first.

Wayne was predeceased by his father Ralph, his mother Virginia and his brother Eddie.  Wayne is survived by his wife Janice, daughters Christina (L. David Holmes IV) and Heather (Nathaniel Mark La Fera), grandchildren Sage Holmes, Davis Holmes and Leonardo La Fera, brother Roger Davis (Carla) and his nieces and nephews.   His celebration of life will be scheduled on a later date in Woodstock.
