Dixie Dee Atkinson, age 86, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away on April 7, 2024 at Kennestone Hospital. Dixie was born January 13, 1938 in Douglas, Oklahoma to Beatrice Spencer Stout and Conrad Wilson Stout. Dixie grew up on a farm in Oklahoma and was one of nine siblings. She graduated from Douglas High School. Dixie was a house wife, she took care of her home and family, in 1983 after her divorce Dixie worked anywhere she could to provide for her children. She spent the last 30 years working at her local WalMart. Her favorite hobbies included genealogy and shopping for antiques, both of which she enjoyed very much.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents: Beatrice Spencer Stout and Conrad Wilson Stout,
Sisters: Helen Lehman, Velma Lee Collins, Lila Ruth Sunderland, Glenda Kirkhart, Brother: Richard Stout, Son: Jeffrey Atkinson, and her 2 beloved dogs Murphy and Phoebe.

Dixie is survived by her children: Charles Atkinson (Andrea), Mark Atkinson, Monte Atkinson (Kate), and Jennifer Painter (Timothy). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Dixie will be always be loved and missed by her family and friends.
