Donald Keith Gray II, affectionately known as Sir Don, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at the age of 68 in Canton, GA, surrounded by his devoted wife and daughters. Born on October 23, 1956, in Jacksonville, FL, Don was the beloved son of Homer and Eloise Gray.
A proud veteran, Don served in the United States Air Force from May 1976 to May 1980, stationed at Pope Air Force Base. It was during this time that he met and married the love of his life, Jane, on November 21, 1979—a partnership that lasted 45 beautiful years.
Don lived a full and vibrant life. He loved to travel, explore the depths through scuba diving, hit the golf course, and enjoyed skeet shooting. But above all, he treasured his time on the family farm with Jane and their children and grandchildren. Loyal, generous, and endlessly dedicated, Don built a life centered around love, service, and connection. He made friends everywhere he went—never a stranger, always a story to share.
He is survived by his beloved wife Jane Gray; daughters Mary Ellen (Brent), Jennifer (Jason), and Erin (Brandon); and grandchildren Samuel, Wesley, Ansley, Brayden, Eloise, and Mason. He is also survived by his sister, Lyle Stevens, and his faithful dog, Belle.
A memorial service will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Marietta, GA, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ECA Memorial Fund in Don's honor. http://www.ecamarietta.org/https-www-paypal-com-cgi-bin-webscrcmd-s-xclickhosted-button-id2p34dwhzf7qjwsourceurl/

Don's legacy of strength, kindness, and unwavering love will live on through all who had the privilege to know him.
