Donna Pangburn was born on September 21, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri. She comfortably passed away on December 18, 2023, after a gradual decline in her health. Her breathing slowed as God called her to join Him in Heaven. She was seventy-seven years of age.
The youngest of two children. Donna was born to Harry Benecke and Alice Benecke. She had one sister, Sandra Furtwengler.
Donna graduated from California State University Los Angeles in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in business. Where she met her husband, Dana Pangburn. They were married for fifty-four years and had two children Emily and Mitchell.
After college she worked as a legal secretary. Filling out punch cards for those old computers. Until she had her children and became a homemaker. Which she continued until they were in high school. After which she worked in the family business. Until it was sold and she retired.
Gardening was one of Donna's favorite pastimes. Everywhere she lived. She showed her love of flowering plants. Keeping a variety of flowers and bushes growing. Frequently tending to her roses.
One could say she had a love for animals. She's owned many cats over the years and had a variety of birds. Tending to all their needs. Fed the local bird and squirrel population. Keeping a bird bath filled with fresh water for them to drink from and splash around in.
She had a love for music. Playing the piano for years. Whiling away the hours. Listening to her extensive collection of vinyl, cassettes and CDs. Besides her music. She'd spend many hours listening to talk radio. Be it her Hi-Fi stereo, Walkman, clock radio or car radio. Something was always going.
Classic cinema was a favorite of hers. Donna always seemed to know the names of even the most obscure actors from the classic age of cinema. Telling tidbits about the actors' lives and what else they were in.
As for collecting. She had a fondness for ceramics and art. Displaying a variety of porcelain figurines, statuary and paintings. Frequently tending to and adjusting these displays. Decorating the house for the seasons.
Her services are private. To be held in Ludlow, Maine in the summer of 2024.
