It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Barbara Kramer, 72, of Woodstock, GA. She passed away on February 10, 2024, with her daughters, sister, and son in law present.
Doris Kramer brought love, kindness, joy, and laughter to the world and many are mourning the loss as she touched the lives of parents and students in her time at Little River Elementary. She worked at Little River for 32 years and retired in 2015. With her 'once an eagle, always an eagle' mindset, she would continue to impact lives as she was always cheering on kids' accomplishments way past their time at Little River. She was a strong, hard-working mom and raised two daughters who hope to carry on her legacy of giving, thoughtfulness, and kindness. Doris battled HHT, a hereditary disease, which eventually required weekly blood transfusions. She kept a smile on her face through it all and just as she had at Little River, she spread joy and laughter to all she came in contact with. She loved cruises and penny slot machines. She loved watching The Masked Singer, Hallmark movies, and The Game Show Network. The world seems a bit dimmer without her bright light, but her impact and legacy will live on in the hearts of those lucky enough to know her.
Doris was preceded in death by her father, Edward Olson, and her mother, Anne Olson.
She is survived by her daughters, Jenny Kramer and Christine Rankins (Daniel Rankins).
A Gathering of Friends will take place on Tuesday, February 13th 3-8 at the Lakeside Funeral Home.
