Elaine Getzewich, age 84, passed away on Sunday, December 10th 2023 at her assisted living facility in Canton Ga.

A daughter to immigrant parents, Elaine was born in Garfield, New Jersey on November 11, 1939. She graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Nursing. Elaine's nursing patients will remember her professional attention to their medical needs, and the staff at her assisted living facility commonly referred to her as "our favorite nurse".

She is survived by her children Daniel (Jennifer), Lee (Shari), Allison O'Neill (late Alec) and her grandchildren Christopher, Diana, and Lizzy. She was a mother who raised her children to live the right way.

Elaine was a dedicated wife and was married to Roger Getzewich for 59 years, who passed away in 2021. They lived in New Jersey for most of their lives, moving to Woodstock Ga in 2014. She enjoyed walking, swimming, bowling, golf, playing cards, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her friends, children and grandchildren.
