George Jerome Kolowich lll passed away at his residence in Woodstock,  Ga. 9/22/2021.
George was born to George J. Kolowich Jr. and Claudie Johnson Kolowich in Detroit Michigan on March 14, 1946. Butch, as he was affectionly known to family and friends, spent much of his youth in Denver Co. and attended Mullins HS. He later attended college at St. Michael's College / College of Santa Fe in New Mexico. While in college he met his future wife Susan Muffly, and they married on Dec. 29, 1967, After serving in the US Navy in 1967- 1968,  George attended Barry College in S. Florida and graduated with a Masters in Social Work. Following a move to Ga., he was employed and later retired as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the State of Ga. George was predeceased by his parents, his wife, and his daughter, Laura. He is survived by his sisters and brother, a daughter, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchilden. A funeral mass at St. Michael the Archangel catholic church with burial following at Arlington cemetery, Sandy Springs, Ga. took place on October 8, 2021.
