Hans S. Materne, 45, of Atlanta, GA passed away on June 5, 2024, in Santa Cruz California.

Mr. Materne was born on October 17, 1978, in Atlanta, GA. He was a devoted husband to Astrid Restrepo, whom he married on August 7, 2013. Together, they created a loving home and family.

Hans was a skilled Journeyman Lineman, dedicating his career to his work as a lineman. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his profession.

In his free time, Hans enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought joy to his life and those around him. He loved one-wheeling, riding his bicycle, swimming, and exercising. He was also a connoisseur of coffee and beer, savoring these moments with friends and family. Hans's playful spirit shone through his interactions with his beloved dogs and his adventurous appetite for diverse dishes.

Hans is survived by his cherished daughter, Emma J. Materne, who is 10 years old and currently in the 5th grade. He was a loving and supportive father who took great pride in Emma's accomplishments and future.

His family, friends, and everyone who knew him will deeply miss Hans. His legacy of love, dedication, and joy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A memorial service will be held at Lakeside Funeral Home to celebrate Hans's life and the memories shared with him.
