Harold Murry Miller, age 75 of Woodstock, GA, the Greatest Husband, Father, Friend and Gamecock Fan EVER, passed away on January 28 th , 2019 at Cherokee Northside Hospital.
Harold was born on February 8 th , 1943 in Ehrhardt, SC. He was a member of Stonecrest Baptist Church and Woodstock Masonic Lodge #246.
Harold was world-renowned for his lack of patience, not holding back his opinion and for telling it like it was. Especially if you were the unlucky referee calling one of his kids games! He always told the truth, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear.
With that being said, he was one of the most genuine, funny, loyal and kind hearted men that you will ever meet.
He was highly proficient at knowing how to combine curse words into sayings that we continue to laugh about today.
These words of encouragement, wisdom and even comfort, kept us in line, reminded us of who we were and gave us some gems to pass along to our children.
Harold coached many teams at SCRA. He coached football, softball and basketball. He was a legend with his "color commentary" both on and off the field.
Harold excelled at gardening. You couldn't find better tomatoes, beans, squash and boiled peanuts!! The best tomato sandwiches came from his garden!
Harold was also an expert camper, boater and fisherman. He could get a pop-up camper set up in record time. His favorite place to be was on Lake Allatoona. He knew the lake like the back of his hand. Hours upon hours were spent with him pulling skiers…..and not just his own children. He taught many kids about the lake and how to get up on skis.
Most people that knew Harold, knew of his love for picking up "treasures" along the side of the road. In fact, the Highway Department may need to consider hiring a few additional employees to pick up where he left off. If anyone wants some random tools or coolers, please talk to Jane after the service.
Another special thing about Harold was his sense of humor. He taught us all not to take ourselves too seriously. He had an infectious smile, loved to laugh and make others laugh as well.
Harold's greatest pride was his family. He loved them dearly.
