Ellen "Hazel" Embler, age 96, passed away on January 22, 2020 surrounded by her family. She is proceeded in death by her two step-children Ralph Embler Jr. and Barbara Jean Ashford. Hazel grew up on a farm in St. Louis, MO, went to high school in Cincinnati, OH. She was married to the love of her life for 50 ½ years, Ralph Wilson Embler, before his death in 1994. Together they have 4 children; Jerry M. Embler, Carol Noe, Joyce Poe, and Jonei Embler. Hazel has a surviving 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. In her younger days she enjoyed Roller Derby and Riding Motorcycles. She spent the later years raising her children, gardening, sewing, and teaching yoga. Hazel also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading, playing cards with her friends and family, and volunteering with charities and the Montessori school. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 4pm in the Lakeside Funeral Home Chapel.
