Obituary

Helen was born in Illinois but had the opportunity to live in the State of Washington as a child and then spent many years in St. Louis, Missouri. Helen proudly told the story of her first job being a "Soda Jerk" at a local drug store and Wow, could she make yummy ice cream sodas and chocolate malted milkshakes! She and Keith met at Sterling College in Sterling Kansas and theirs was a proverbial "love at first sight" romance. Keith always said her ice cream concoctions and her legendary fudge were the most wonderful treats of all.

They moved as a young married couple to Green Bay, Wisconsin where Helen was so very happy. Later, career opportunities took them to Miami, Florida for more than 35 years. Helen was an active member of Kendall Presbyterian church enjoying so many of the Women's ministry opportunities. Her passion was being the best wife and mother that she knew how to be. Keith's career took him across the globe but with most of his time spent working with lawmakers in Tallahassee and Washington, DC. He told many friends that he would never have been able to take these opportunities had Helen not been the trusted partner she was. He could travel freely knowing Helen was a smart, dedicated caretaker of home and family. Helen moved, as a widow, to Roswell, Georgia and has been a Georgia resident since 1995.

Lifelong Presbyterian, she was a faithful member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Marietta, Georgia. Her later years have been marked by health concerns but with a continued faith in her Saviour and a love of her family:

Helen was pre-deceased by her husband Keith Leslie; parents, Rev. Harold and Isabel Fry; and sister, Janet Fry Bauersachs and her husband, Robert Bauersachs.

Helen's children: daughter, Susan Leslie Maginas and her husband Dionysios (Dennis) and their children and grandchildren: James (Jimmy) Maginas and his wife Leslie Meier Maginas and their son, LJ, of Hutchinson, Kansas; Rev. Stephen Maginas and his wife Lesley White Maginas and their children Sophia and Gregory of Atlanta, Georgia; Angela Maginas Aven and her husband Brandon Aven and their sons Jaxon and Mattox of Frisco, Texas. And daughter, Linda Leslie and her children Keith Arsenault and Helen Arsenault of Montreal, Quebec and currently in Dubuque, Iowa.
