Isabel "Cissy" Arrington Cannon, age 72, passed away peacefully at her residence in Mountain Park, GA on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.

Cissy was born in Cordele, GA to Briggs and Isabel Heard Arrington on November 14, 1945.

She was a graduate of Crisp County High School and attended Stetson University.

Cissy married Hiram Raleigh Cannon III in 1985.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Ann Arrington Petree Duckworth.

Cissy worked in the optical industry for years before moving on to a career in payroll with the State of Georgia.   Cissy enjoyed her retirement doing crossword puzzles, excelling in Trivia competitions and playing Bridge hours on end both in local clubs and online.  She volunteered at Sunrise Senior Living for many years utilizing her gifts for helping others.

She is survived by: her daughter, Cristi Cannon Dixon (David) of Birmingham, AL; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two sisters: Marcile Arrington Clarke of Blakely, Ga; Mary Price Arrington Scredon (Rich) of Lake Mary, FL; one brother Briggs Arrington (Alice) of Tuscumbia, AL and nieces and nephews, including one special niece Sally Petree Wilson (David) who has provided much love and primary family support to Cissy during her illness.

A memorial service, honoring Cissy Cannon, will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:00AM at Lakeside Funeral Home (121 Claremore Drive, Woodstock, GA) with visitation following the service.
