Jack Robert Henson , 86, of Marietta, Georgia, passed into the eternal presence of his Lord and Savior on Friday February 3, 2023.

Jack was born April 24, 1936, in Mineral Bluff, Georgia, to William Ralph and Anna Mae Henson.

He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from January 1955 to January 1959, and then in the Air Force Reserves into 1963. He was employed by the Mead Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia, his entire working career. In retirement, Jack enjoyed attending Bluegrass Festivals, and visiting family and friends, both locally, and in his hometown of Mineral Bluff, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. William Ralph and Anna Mae Henson, Sisters, Ruby Poe, Eunice Roberson, Hazel Ware, Betty Hawkins, and brother, Cecil Henson.

Jack is survived by his wife, Patricia Henson, of Marietta, Georgia, Sons, Randall R. Henson (Donna S. C. Henson) of Powder Springs, Georgia, and Scott A. Henson (Donna G. Henson) of Holly Springs, Georgia, Grandchildren, Alexa Henson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Parker Henson of Holly Springs, Georgia. He is also survived by his sister, Edith Hyde of Blue Ridge, Georgia, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Woodstock, Woodstock, Georgia, where he joyfully & dutifully served in the Parking Ministry.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Lakeside Funeral Home, Woodstock, Georgia. Visitation will be Tuesday February 7, 2023, from 5:00pm–8:00pm, and Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 11:00 to 12:00. Funeral Service will be Wednesday February 8, 2023, at 12:00pm, with interment immediately following, at the Georgia by National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia, at 2:00pm.
