James "Phillip" Boone passed away on May 13, 2022. Phillip was born in Burnsville, NC on December 26, 1937, to Bob and Fannie. After graduating high school and attending Blanton Business College, he then served four years in the United States Air Force. Upon his discharge, he moved to Atlanta where he met and married the love of his life Brenda. They were married 56 years and had two wonderful daughters and five beautiful grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. He always loved sports and fishing. After retirement from Lockheed Martin in 2000, he joined a men's softball league until his health would not allow him to play any longer. He was always an avid Braves fan and never missed a game.
Phillip was loved by everyone who knew him because he loved them too. As soon as he met anyone, he made them feel special. Phillip was one of the kindest people you would ever have the privilege of knowing. He made your life better by being in it. There is a hole in the hearts of those who knew him that can only be filled with the precious memories he left behind.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Fannie Boone and sister Margie Higgins.
He is survived by wife, Brenda Boone of Woodstock, GA; brother, R.V. Boone of Woodstock, GA; sister, Betty Jean Robinson of Piedmont, SC; daughter, Felisha (Mike) Mason of Woodstock, GA; daughter, Teresa Webster (Scott) of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Ryan Mason, Caitlin (Jake) McLinskey, Jacob Mason, William Webster, Emma Webster; and many precious nieces and nephews.
