James M. Frazier Jr., 68 years old, of Alpharetta, GA passed away on October 28, 2024, at Northside Hospital in Cumming, GA. Mr. Frazier was born April 4, 1956.
James was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, but he really blossomed during his childhood in sunny Santa Rosa, Northern California. He was quite the athlete and musician at Rancho Cotati High School, where he played baseball and showed off his trumpet skills in the school band. After graduating from Pepperdine University in 1978 with a business degree, he jumped into a fascinating career that took him through banking, aircraft manufacturing and maintenance, education, and even information technology. As a young adult, James had a heartfelt love for Jesus, which deepened as he learned from Dr. Frederick Price Sr. at Crenshaw Christian Center. This faith was his guiding light throughout his life, even after he and his family relocated to Georgia in 2006. In 1980, a blind date orchestrated by divine intervention brought him together with Maryam, who would become his wonderful wife for 42 joyful years. Together, they raised four amazing children and were blessed with three delightful grandchildren. For James, Jesus was always his first love, closely followed by his family and then his passion for cooking and baking. He cherished every opportunity to delve into the Word and was always eager to invite friends to church, sharing laughs and warmth with his great sense of humor. He expressed his love through acts of service, especially cooking delicious meals; his famous sweet potato pies were a holiday favorite that everyone looked forward to! Living by faith was at the heart of his life. James had a generous spirit and loved giving without seeking any recognition. He firmly believed in the principle of seed time and harvest, trusting that kindness would flourish in return. Besides his love for God and family, James had some fun hobbies, too! He loved motorcycles, enjoyed a good Hallmark movie, and recently found joy in watching Korean soap operas. He also delighted in the uplifting music of Helen Baylor. His children definitely inherited his fantastic sense of humor. When they playfully teased Maryam, the laughter was contagious, filling the room and leaving everyone in stitches! After the challenges posed by COVID, the Lord led their family to World Harvest Church, where they could grow and prepare for the mission field. James was passionate about getting involved in local missions in Clarkston and was excitedly planning a trip to South Africa in 2025. James is survived by his beloved wife, Maryam; his wonderful children, Arash, Kayla (who is married to Christopher), Amir (who is married to Ashley), and Roya (who is married to Thad); and his three amazing grandchildren, McKinley, Elijah, and Azadeh. He is now joyfully reunited with his parents in their heavenly home, surrounded by love and laughter.
He was an active member of Pepperdine alumni, C3G career Network.
