Obituary

Jane Mason, beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Cousin, and Friend died November 9th at the age of 57, after a valiant fight against cancer. She was a unique person full of vivaciousness, tenacity, good humor, integrity, strength, and love.

Jane was born on February 2, 1961 in Huntington, NY to Robert Schoeck and Vivian Schoeck.  She was the youngest of five children and the apple of the family's eye.  She was raised in suburban New York, Philadelphia and St Louis. Her summer months on the beaches of Long Island New York were very special for her.  After Jane's father passed in 1973, she was raised by her Mother, Vivian and Vivian's Brother, Larry Treinen through Middle School and High School in St. Louis, MO.   Jane's Uncle Larry became a second father to her.  Jane graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School, and then went on to graduate from the University of Missouri.  She maintained lifelong friendships with many of her girlfriends from these years in school.  They maintained a tradition of gathering together in Florida each year.

In 1984, Jane met the love of her life (and his), Regan Mason in Houston, TX, and they were married three years later.  They lived in Houston, Chicago, Austin, and finally Atlanta.  They made a tradition of visiting Regan's hometown, Gulfport, MS each 4th of July to spend time to visit with Regan's High School and College friends.  They also attended a lot of Ole Miss (Regan's Alma Mater) Football games with these friends.

Jane and Regan had three children; Pierce 27, Brooke 23, and Michelle 20.  They were the light of her life. They all currently reside in Atlanta.

Jane worked in strategic sales at Sprint for over thirty years and was honored many times for being an exceptional team member.  Having over a thirty-year career with the same company is rare now but is representative of Jane's ability to get along with others and adapt to new situations.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert J. Schoeck in 1973, mother Vivian Ann Schoeck in 2006 and brother John R. Schoeck in 2003.  Jane also leaves two brothers; David of Lake Forest, CA and Robert of Vonore, TN, a sister; Ellen of Edmonton, Canada and her Uncle, Larry Treinen of St Louis.  She maintained a very close and loving relationship with all of these and many other family members throughout her life.

Jane was one of those rare people who never met a stranger and was loved by everyone.
