Obituary

Jason "Pops" Williams, age 51, of Woodstock, GA, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2022.

He was born March 3, 1971, in Sycamore, IL to parents John Duane Williams and Charlotte Faye Williams.

Jason grew up in the Sycamore area and graduated from Sycamore High School in 1989. He was involved in FFA, serving as President during his senior year. Jason married Jennifer June Andersen, in 1990 in Sycamore, IL and they had four children Jacob, Bethany, Reba, and Jack.

A job relocation in the summer of 2001 brought Jason and his family to Marietta, GA. Their four kids were raised and graduated high school in the area. Jason was incredibly proud of the accomplishments of his children. Among those accomplishments include being the manager of a large retail store, owning a home bakery, being a project director for a local construction company, and serving the community well. In each endeavor, Jason was always the first and most reliable call for any need. He also loved each of his kids' spouses as if they were his own children. He was proud of the families and lives they each have built. Jason spent most of his free time chasing, tossing, and hugging his grandkids who called him Pops.

In 2020, Jason made his dream of owning his own business come true when he resigned from his corporate job and started Cherokee Remodeling with his best friend Dom Orlando. He's spent the past two years fulfilling his creative potential in each project he's worked on.

He was also an avid motorcyclist and an integral part in operating and organizing an online forum for FJR bike owners. He rode countless miles in the 'twisties' of North Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina but took several cross-country trips. He organized events and group rides with other motorcyclists. Through this he made dozens of friends, friends he counted as family. If he liked you, he loved you.

He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Faye Williams; his four children: Jacob (Jasmine) Williams, Bethany (Zach) Bailey, Reba (Brock) Van Faussien, Jack (Raina) Williams; his grandchildren Jaxson, Ava, Caleb, Charlotte, Lily, Jerry Jr, Ethan, Blake, Grayson, Eli, and two more on the way (Baby Deihl and Baby Van Faussien); long-time partner Sonya Williams-Pratt and her daughters Olivia Pratt (Andrew Deihl) and Sydney Pratt; siblings Ken (Debbie) Wesenberg, Rhonda Williams Hinkle and John (Chris) Williams; the mother of his four children Jennifer Andersen Smith; several cousins whom he counted as siblings, as well as nieces, nephews and a network of friends across the country.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Duane Williams, sister Patty Armstrong Story, and his favorite Aunt Carol Johnson.
