John Robert Hurd, Jr, 59, husband of Marian Hurd, Kennesaw, Georgia, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Kennestone Hospital. Born July 27,1959 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of John R. Hurd, Sr. and Flora Lee Hurd.  Graduated from Fairfield High School.  Attended The Ohio State University.  Served with the Ohio Republican Party, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Georgia Department of Human Resources, and Cobb County Schools Transportation Department. Survived by wife, Marian. Children: Major John A. Hurd (Sabrina), US Army, Marie Thomas (Byron), James Hurd, Tim Hurd, Abigail Hurd, and Benjamin Hurd. Grandchildren: Payton Hurd, Arieon Thomas, Myari Thomas, Daniel Whidby, Christian Whidby. Father: John R. Hurd, Sr. (Betty).  Brother: Gary Hurd (Tammy).  Preceded in death by mother, Flora Lee Hurd.  "So now faith, hope and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13.  Love is eternal.  Love conquers all.
