It is with a heavy heart that the family of Jone Emilee Meisenheimer announces her passing on March 24, 2020. Jone is survived by her children, Ryan Meisenheimer, Lauren Meisenheimer (wife to Ryan), Adam Meisenheimer, LauraBeth (wife to Adam) Meisenheimer, her four grandchildren, Harper Meisenheimer, Reece Meisenheimer, Carter Meisenheimer, Kathryn Emily (Jone's namesake) Meisenheimer and her loving siblings, Terry Wascher, Connie Nicola, and Scott Dunn.
There are no words nor enough time to do justice to the wonderful and amazing woman that was Jone. Her life was marked by her passion to help others and provide encouragement whenever an opportunity arose. Jone deeply loved her family and never missed an opportunity to share that love with others. She was taken from us far too soon and we now hold the unforgettable memories of our wonderful mother.
Jone was born to Robert & Phyllis Dunn in Centralia, Illinois on March 26, 1956. She had four siblings, Terry, Connie, Barbara and Scott. Jone graduated from Centralia High School in '74 and Kaskaskia College in '75 and was a faithful member of First Christian Church prior to moving to Georgia. Jone resided the past 36 years in Roswell, Georgia where she raised her family before moving to Woodstock. Jone was a dedicated Dental Assistant for 40 years and spent her spare time helping others and spending time with her grandchildren.
One of Jone's greatest passions was sewing. Her mother owned a local wedding dress store and helped Jone blossom into an expert seamstress at a very young age. Jone enjoyed sewing clothes, Halloween costumes, and bedding for her grandchildren and created unique pieces for her beloved coworkers and friends. One of her most treasured creations was the baptismal gown created for her granddaughter, Kathryn Emily who wore it just last year. That gown will now be passed down to future generations as part of Jone's legacy.
Jone was a dedicated mother and grandmother who was always there for life's special events and moments. She was always present at her sons' childhood sporting events and gleamed with pride at her granddaughter's dance recitals. We're so blessed to have had our mom participate in some of life's most special moments such as graduations, weddings and the births of her adored grandchildren. Jone lived to love and support her family. She was always the first with open arms and words of encouragement when those around her needed love and support. We take comfort knowing that she is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and reunited in eternal glory with her beloved parents Robert & Phyllis Dunn and sister Barbara.
Jone's family is forever grateful for the life she led and the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Her legacy will continue through the selfless acts of kindness and generosity we bestow on each other. Thank you to everyone who was a part of Jone's wonderful life and to those who provided support over the years, our appreciation for you is profound. Saying goodbye is difficult and we hope you will take the time to grieve with us. May Jone's legacy of love live in our hearts forever.
