Obituary: Dr. JOSEPH (JOE) D'SOUZA

November 6, 1953 – February 16, 2019

It is with a heavy heart that we share the loss of our dynamic and charismatic Joe, who passed peacefully at his home in Atlanta, Georgia with family by his side. Survived by his loving wife Sarah; devoted sons Dr. Adam (partner Dr. Elizabeth Rabold), Eric, Shawn; caring parents Emilia & late Lawrence; proud siblings Cellie (Tony), late Cassy (Olive), Leo (Irene); adoring in-laws, Alaric & Rosalind, Arlene (late Brian), Austin (Angela), Jackie (Mo), Jude (Paulina) and Gavin; doting nephews & nieces Mark (Ayesha), Charmaine (Wendell), Melissa, Andrea, Alyssa, Lionel, Brendon, Rebecca, Andrew, Alanna, Kristin, Aaron, and Michael.

A native of Goa, India, Joe completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Essex (UK) and obtained a PhD in Biochemical Pharmacology at the University of London (UK). Joe was known amongst his friends and colleagues for his intellect, successful business career, sportsmanship, as well as the warmth and generosity of his personality. May his legacy continue through the many lives he touched as his soul rests in eternal peace.

Funeral Details:

Visitation will be: Thursday, February 21, 2019; Rosary 5:30 pm and Visitation 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lakeside Funeral Home, 121 Claremore Drive, Woodstock, GA 30188 .

Memorial mass will be celebrated: Friday, February 22, 2019; 11:30 am at The Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta, GA 30066 .

Interment following Mass: Rolling Hills Memory Gardens, 4355 Highway 92, Acworth, GA 30102 .
