Karen Voss, 76, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021, surrounded by loving family at Oaks of Towne Lake assisted living in Woodstock, GA after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Karen was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 10, 1945, the daughter of Gordon and Eleanore (nee Krois) Willmert. She was raised in Milwaukee, attended Divine Peace Lutheran Church where she was confirmed in 1959, and graduated from Pulaski High School in 1963. On November 21, 1964, Karen was united in marriage to the love of her life, Stanley Voss.

Karen worked as a beautician for more than 25 years, including managing a JCPenny beauty salon in Brookfield, WI. After her career in hairdressing, she worked as a loan officer at GMAC. Karen and Stanley enjoyed 15 years of retirement in Goodyear, AZ.

Karen long will be remembered for her terrific cooking, keen sense of humor and love for her family. Always chatty and sometimes sassy, Karen would strike up a friendly conversation with anyone who came near her and could make people laugh wherever she went.

Karen is survived by her husband, Stanley; children, Eric (Christy Abing) Voss, Denise (Charlie) Williams and Jonas Voss; grandchildren, Mia, Mitchell, Grace and Evan; sisters, Marlene (Dave) Horn, Ellen (Tom) Spitzer and Patti (John) Mikez, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Oaks at Towne Lake and Bristol Hospice for their care and compassion.

A visitation to pay respects will be held for one hour on Tuesday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m. at Lakeside Funeral Home in Woodstock, GA. A Lutheran funeral service officiated by Pastor Guse from Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Lakeside chapel.
