Kelly Jo Miller MacLafferty, age 57, passed peacefully on Friday, January 25 , 2019 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Kelly was born Sung Mi Whang on January 5, 1962 in Seoul, Korea. At the age of 15 months, she was adopted by Florence May Traver Miller and Elwood Ira Miller and lived in Edicott, New York until they moved to Hollywood, Florida in 1968. She attended South Broward High School and continued her education at University of Florida. Kelly was united in marriage with Kirk Lovett on December 1, 2006 on the intercoastal waters in Boynton Beach, Florida. In 2010, Kelly and Kirk moved to Atlanta, Georgia for the birth of their first granddaughter.

Kelly MacLafferty was passionate in crafting, serving at different charities, and spending most of her time with family and her grandchildren. She loved to sew, cook, bake and create new recipes. Kelly established her own catering business in South Florida with her dear friend, Margaret Gambarrotti.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Cynthia Marie Michota, William Taylor Ira MacLafferty, Christopher James Miller MacLafferty; son-in-law, Sean Michota; daughter-in-law, Cindy Vo-MacLafferty; four grandchildren: Nola MacLafferty, Helena Michota, Liam Michota, Logan Starks; sister, Kimberly Jo Miller-Guerra; and brother-in-law, Eddie Guerra.
