Kelvie Stroud, age 84, of Conyers, Georgia, passed away on August 23, 2022, at Legacy Ridge at Woodstock. Mr. Stroud was born on October 1, 1937, in Locust Grove, Georgia to Proumes Stroud and Velma Brooks.

Kelvie Stroud grew up and graduated high school in Locust Grove, Georgia. In his early 20s, Kelvie entered the military (Army). After an honorable discharge, Kelvie studied to be an engineer and eventually became a faithful employee of the United States Postal Service. Kelvie was an avid tennis player, loved to travel, and was always there to help anyone in need to repair any and everything.

Kelvie is preceded in death by his mother, Velma Brooks; father, Proumes Stroud; and son, Calvin Weems.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherlonda Stroud Finley; granddaughter, Madeline Louise Finley; identical twin brother, Kelly (Yvonne) Stroud Sr.; sisters, Jacqueline Stroud, Lynda Johnson, and many loving siblings.

The Stroud family will receive visitors on August 27, 2022, between 1:00 and 3:00 PM, at Lakeside Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia. Interment with military honors will be held on August 29, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
