Lawrence R. Custer, age 80, of Woodstock, GA, peacefully passed on March 6, 2023.

Larry Custer was born August 4, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964.  Until he retired in 2004, Larry worked many years in the semiconductor electronics industry in Pittsburgh, New York, St. Louis, Chicago, and Atlanta.  He could often be found singing at his player piano.  He also enjoyed traveling, photography, golf, pool, jigsaw puzzles, wood-working, model trains, telling jokes and bargain-hunting at garage sales.

He will be missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Natalie Custer, three children: Tracy O'Brien, Tami Jacobs, Christine McWhorter (Dr. Christopher McWhorter), and four grandchildren: Hannah and Rachel Jacobs and Maret and Emmet McWhorter and various siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Larry was predeceased by his granddaughter Sarah Jacobs.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Lakeside Funeral Home from 1:00 to 3:00.

Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery.
