Linda Schuyler Fisher, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021. She was born on August 1st, 1941 in the Panama Canal Zone to Rudolph and Marie Duelfer. She was a graduate of LSU, GO TIGERS!
As the child of a Navy Commander, she traveled the world from, Europe, Panama, to the Philippines. Later, Linda traveled to nearly every state in North America and even into Canada in an RV loaded with her husband, two boys, and one spotted Dalmatian. She taught her two boys how to bait hooks and fish and the fine art of eating dessert first. She was an animal lover, never being without at least one or two furry family members. Linda with her husband Jim traveled to many Studebaker Car Shows, they even drove to a few in an old Studebaker Truck. They enjoyed many great times in Tybee Island, Georgia and Branson, Missouri.
Linda's joy of life shone through every day with her Lana Turner Smile and how she treated people. She truly treasured every moment, living life to the fullest through simple pleasures like chatting with friends, socials with her bible study group, family time, savoring any chocolate dessert, the joy of holiday seasons and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a quiet strength. She never complained and always looked to a better future. Her character and temperament can best be shown from the time she was diagnosed with cancer to her passing into heaven. Linda had every right to cry and be mad, but instead, she loved, prayed, and lived every moment she was given.
She is survived by her husband James (Jim) Fisher, her brother Kansas Duelfer, her two sons William E. Schuyler and Stephen F. Schuyler, Grandchildren Joshua William Schuyler, Ashton Montana Schuyler, Addison Delaney Schuyler, and Harper Marie Schuyler; Step grandchildren Zachary Reitz, Brittney Beckwith and Bonnie Hogan; Great Grandchildren Emory Thaxton, and William Perrin Schuyler
"I am your Strength! When you begin a day feeling weak and weary, it's all right. Your weakness can be a reminder of your need for Me. Remember that I am with you continually—ready to help you as you go along your way. Take My hand in joyful trust, letting Me guide you and strengthen you. I delight in helping you, My child." —Jesus Always by Sarah Young
"But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely." —Psalm 59:16-17
