It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Fogleman, 93, of Marietta, GA. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, January 26, 2024.

Margaret was born Margaret Sutcliffe to Peggy and Harry Sutcliffe in New Rochelle, NY on October 27th, 1930. She was a proud New Yorker to the very end.

Those who knew Margaret knew that she has lots of opinions and was never afraid to share them, for better or for worse - with Margaret, you knew where you stood. She loved her dogs, her Scottish roots, and a good, stiff drink from time to time. Margaret was a dedicated member of the Episcopal Church, had a deep love for the ocean and boating, and worked for many years at Bloomingdales (a time which she membered fondly). For all of her adventures, few things brought her more joy than watching her twin grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ian, grow into adulthood - only to be eclipsed 15 months ago by the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Mackenzie.

Margaret was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Floyd Fogleman. She is survived by her sister, Harriet Lonergan, daughter Penny Capawana and son-in-law John Capawana, grandchildren Ian Capawana and Elizabeth Vereb and husband Tim Vereb, and great-granddaughter Mackenzie Vereb.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 11am at the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Marietta, Ga. In lieu of flowers, please make any commemorative donations to the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation.
