Marvalyn Long, age 79, of Woodstock, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25 at her home.

Born in Gainesville, GA, and graduating from Marietta High School, Marvalyn spent most of her life living in either Marietta or Woodstock.  After retiring from several jobs, including teaching art, sales, office administration and banking, she spent her final years retired and enjoying her friends and family.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Donna Long; her two loving granddaughters, Catherine and Anna Long; four sisters, Sarah Carlile, Bonnie (Don) Mancuso, Winnie (Philip) Wilson and Glenda (Robert) Hamby; a host of nieces, nephews and their own children and grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her parents, Mark and Edna Bolding; sister Barbara Lunsford and brothers-in-law Ray Lunsford and Kenneth Carlile.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at Lakeside Funeral Home in Woodstock.  A visitation is scheduled for 4:00, Friday September 30, 2022 with a service immediately following at 5:00.  She will later be interred at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
