Mrs. Mary "Lois" Dodson, age 95, of Woodstock, GA., passed peacefully on December 15, 2022.

Lois was born in Jasper Georgia on May 10, 1927 to loving parents James Isaac Cowart and Ella Mamie Pettigrew Cowart. She was a resident of Woodstock, and a member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock for 70 years. She loved cooking (sometimes for large crowds), canning, and camping. She also loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Joseph, sisters; Estell Walker, Ethel Neese, Thelma Cowart, and Dorothy Crowe.

Survivors include her children; Raymond (Penny) Dodson, Brenda (Butch) Brooks, and Tony (Patti) Dodson. 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends also survive.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodstock Fire Dept. Station 14.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 2:00 until 8:00, on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 12:00 until 2:00.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 2:00 at Lakeside Funeral Home.

Interment will take place on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Georgia National Cemetery at 10:00.
