Mary "Elaine" Mizell, 79, of Marietta, GA passed away on March 7, 2022, at home with her family gathered by her side.  Elaine was born on August 16, 1942, in Independence, Missouri.

Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  Her love for God, her family, and friends was contagious and commendable.  She was full of energy, always planning memorable, fun-filled activities for her family, friends, and Sunday School class.

Elaine was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock along with her daughters and grandchildren.  She served in her Sunday School class and loved being part of her accountability group, the "Crazy Eights".

Elaine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe, their three children, Paul Mizell (wife Julie) of Statesboro, GA; Sara Mullis of Marietta, GA; Heather Cloys of Woodstock, GA; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew.  She was predeceased by her daughter Leslie Ryan of South Carolina and two grandchildren.

Celebration Ceremony

The Celebration Ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at First Baptist Church Woodstock in the chapel.   Visitation will be at 1:00 pm and the service will be held at 2:00 pm. Those who are unable to attend in person can watch the service online at Mrs. Mizell's Celebration.
